A Day in the Life: How Part Time Care Can Help Seniors Age Safely At Home
For older adults who wish to age in place, having the right support system is crucial. That's where the compassionate caregivers from All For One Home Care come in. With just part time support our team can take care of a wide range of daily tasks to help seniors live safely and independently in the comfort of their own homes for less than half the price of an assisted living facility.
Here is an example of how that time can be put to use.
Daily Tasks (1 Hour and 30 Minutes)
Every day, the caregiver starts by helping the client get dressed, providing gentle guidance and ensuring safety. Then, they spend 15-20 minutes preparing a nutritious breakfast. The remaining 30 minutes are devoted to light meal prep for the rest of the day - putting together a sandwich for lunch, thawing ingredients for dinner, etc. Finally, they tackle the dishes from the previous night, taking that chore off the client's to-do list.
Tu,Thu,Sat - Heavier Chores (1 Hour and 30 Minutes)
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are reserved for more time-consuming household tasks. The caregiver will spend 45 minutes sweeping and mopping the floors, and another 45 minutes doing the client's laundry.
M,W,F - Personal Care and Light Housekeeping (1 Hour and 30 Minutes)
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the caregiver assists the client with a shower, ensuring they can bathe safely and comfortably. Afterwards, they tackle some light housekeeping tasks, such as sweeping and mopping the floors.
Sun - Weekly Errands (1 Hour and 30 Minutes)
Sundays are set aside for running key weekly errands. The caregiver spends 15 minutes vacuuming the home, then heads out for 1 hour and 15 minutes of grocery shopping, ensuring the client's kitchen is fully stocked for the week ahead.
